SHORT STORIES
As a lover of fiction, I belong to 12shortstories.com, a group of writers who create 12 short stories over the course of a year. Our ideas are generated based on monthly prompts, with specified word count and deadline. Prompts are decided by host Mia, of Writer’s Write. She is a talented writer who is providing an online playground for writers.

Many of us have taken our short stories and have submitted them for publication in online literary journals and magazines. It’s great fun to write for pleasure and turn around and get paid for it!
FREELANCE WRITING
In addition to many other sites, I write articles (340 thus far) for WriterAccess.com, and am paid by various clients as a ghostwriter. Researching a plethora of subjects, working for WA has made me a better writer and has provided me with experience and knowledge while writing persuasive, technical, and informative articles. I’ve delved into diverse industries such as health, real estate, travel, education, and insurance. This is more than fun; content writing is a moneymaker.

I’ve written a novel (psychological thriller) and am in the process of sharing this unique story through the traditional publication process. Stay tuned for updates.
GROUPS
I would advise other aspiring writers to join local and online groups, attend workshops, attend conferences, and make the most of meeting fellow authors. Everyone has something to teach and/or share.
